A teenager has been arrested in relation to the crash in Eastwood this afternoon, which put Eastwood Public School into a brief lockdown.
The incident happened just before 3pm, when a Honda Odssey crashed into a Holden Commodore at a set of lights in West Ryde, and then drove into a school fence.
Police had attempted to stop the Honda prior to the crash.
The driver fled the scene on foot into the school, which was placed in lockdown while police officers, with help from PolAir and the Dog Unit, searched the area.
The 15-year-old was arrested shortly after at Eastwood train station.
He has been taken to Ryde Police Station and is assisting with inquiries.
The school has been taken out of lockdown after a further search.
The driver of the Commodore, in his 50s, did not seek medical treatment at the scene.
Police inquiries are ongoing.
